How it plays

How does Haunted Castle play?

The game is viewed from a side-scrolling perspective. Simon moves through six linear stages filled with platforms, stairs, hazards, standard enemies, and a boss at the end of each area.

Players walk, jump, crouch, and attack with the Vampire Killer. Whips can be upgraded, and secondary weapons use hearts collected during the stages. Defeated bosses and completed stages advance the player toward Dracula's castle and the final confrontation.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Haunted Castle?

Learn enemy placement instead of rushing, especially near pits, stairs, and moving hazards. Keep Simon positioned at a safe distance so the whip can hit enemies before they reach him.

Collect hearts and preserve useful sub-weapons for bosses. Upgrade the whip when possible, study each boss's attack rhythm, and use short jumps rather than long blind leaps.
