How it plays
Choose a team, pass, dribble, shoot, defend, and manage player energy during a match. Playoff mode places the selected team in a tournament bracket with best-of-five and best-of-seven series, while the game supports expanded multi-player arrangements through Sega's Team Player Adaptor.
Plan your run
Move the ball to create an open shot instead of forcing a crowded drive, watch player energy, and use defensive positioning to prevent easy fast breaks. Learn the timing of passes and shots in exhibition mode before starting a playoff bracket, and save when a password or long series transition is reached.
Hyper Dunk: The Playoff Edition is Konami's Japanese Mega Drive basketball game released on March 4, 1994. It is the Japanese title for the game released in North America as Double Dribble: The Playoff Edition and in Europe as HyperDunk. The game offers exhibition, multi-play, and playoff modes with teams that resemble professional basketball franchises.
