How it plays

How does JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future play?

Matches take place on a two-dimensional plane with normal attacks, special moves, throws, defensive techniques, and super moves. Characters fight by reducing the opponent's life bar, while the Stand system lets many fighters summon or dismiss a separate combat entity.

Arcade progression consists of a series of one-on-one battles followed by encounters with powerful opponents and a final boss. Stand mode changes reach, attack properties, and defensive options, but it can also expose the character to different risks. The game supports competitive versus play in addition to the single-player arcade route.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future?

Learn whether a character is stronger with the Stand summoned or dismissed, because the two states can have different attack ranges and defensive properties.

Use the opponent's Stand gauge and recovery openings to decide when to spend meter. Practice anti-air attacks, safe special-move spacing, and the timing of each character's distinctive super move.

Against DIO and other late arcade opponents, avoid repeated unsafe attacks. Keep enough room to react to sudden Stand attacks and punish recovery rather than relying on constant pressure.
