How it plays
The game is presented from a side view in one-on-one matches. The objective is to deplete the opponent's life bar before time expires, usually by combining normal attacks with special moves and defensive positioning.
Players choose from Justice League heroes and opposing villains. Single-player mode advances through a fixed series of battles, while versus mode allows two players to select combatants for a standalone match. Each fighter has different reach, speed, jump behavior, and special attacks.
Plan your run
Learn the range and recovery time of the chosen fighter before relying on special moves. Fast characters can pressure opponents, but repeated attacks are easier to punish when blocked.
Keep enough distance to identify the opponent's approach, then counter after a missed attack. Against heavier characters, use movement and jumping carefully rather than trading blows.

Justice League Task Force is a 1995 one-on-one fighting game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment for the Sega Genesis. It places DC Comics heroes and villains in comic-book battles centered on a mysterious threat involving the Justice League. The roster includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Cheetah, Despero, Deathstroke, and Doomsday. Matches use side-view arenas, standard attacks, special moves, jumping, blocking, and character-specific abilities. A single-player campaign leads the chosen hero through a sequence of opponents, while versus play supports direct matches. Contemporary reception was mixed, with praise for its recognizable license and varied roster but criticism of its stiff animation and uneven combat balance.
