How it plays

How does King's Bounty: The Conqueror's Quest play?

The campaign is viewed from an overhead perspective. Move through a connected fantasy world, visit towns and castles, recruit troops, collect treasure, and search for the Crown of Andaria while the campaign clock advances.

When combat begins, the game switches to a turn-based tactical field. The hero commands creature stacks, moving them across terrain and using their attacks and special abilities. Victory, treasure, experience, and better leadership gradually expand the army’s capabilities.

The player must balance exploration, troop losses, morale, money, and the remaining time. Different creature types and terrain conditions make army composition important.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play King's Bounty: The Conqueror's Quest?

Plan routes around recruitment sites, treasure, and likely battles rather than moving randomly. Keep several troop types available so the army can handle different enemy abilities and terrain.

Avoid unnecessary fights when the campaign clock or troop losses make them inefficient. Build leadership and experience through worthwhile victories, protect strong units, and save before major engagements so tactical mistakes do not cripple the campaign.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Recruit early and replace losses before attempting difficult battles.

  2. 2

Use terrain and creature abilities instead of relying only on the largest troop stack.

  3. 3

Watch the campaign time limit; exploration without a route can make the final objective unreachable.
