How it plays

How does Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle play?

Each match is a side-view, one-on-one fight between two-person teams. The active fighter attacks, blocks, jumps, performs special moves, and can call in the partner through the game’s tag mechanics. Victory requires defeating both members of the opposing team.

Fights take place in bounded arenas with ring-related positioning and close-range exchanges. Players learn normal attacks, command inputs, defensive timing, and character-specific special techniques, then use the tag system to manage damage and momentum across a sequence of matches.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle?

Protect the partner’s remaining life rather than treating a tag as a free reset. Switch with enough space to avoid handing the opponent an easy punish, and use the character with the better matchup for the current situation.

Learn the reach and recovery of each fighter’s basic attacks before relying on special moves. Staying near the stage boundary can make movement and tagging more predictable, but careless corner pressure can also leave the active fighter trapped.
