Guan Yu
A long-reach fighter who excels at direct pressure and controlling space.
How it plays
Players advance through side-scrolling stages, defeating groups of enemies before confronting stronger officers and stage bosses. Combat centers on close-range attacks, movement, jumping, special techniques, and collectible items.
Stages follow a mostly linear route but can include different encounters and routes. Defeated enemies provide useful items and resources, while continued play depends on the cabinet’s credit and life settings. Multiplayer cooperation is a central arcade feature when supported by the machine.
Plan your run
Stay mobile rather than trading blows with large groups. Attack from the edge of a crowd, use screen-clearing techniques when enemies surround you, and save powerful resources for officers and bosses.
In multiplayer, separate enemies between players and avoid repeatedly striking the same target unless coordinating a stun or finishing attack. Learn boss patterns and use the stage layout to limit attacks from off-screen enemies.

Knights of Valour 2 is a 2000 arcade beat-'em-up developed and published by International Games System. Set in a fantasy version of China’s Three Kingdoms era, it follows heroic warriors battling soldiers, monsters, and powerful commanders across a series of scrolling stages. The game is designed for direct arcade play, with fast melee combat, screen-clearing attacks, items, and support from up to several players depending on the cabinet configuration. Its colorful presentation and cooperative action made it a recognizable entry in IGS’s brawler line, although its regional availability and version differences mean that exact character and control details can vary between machines.
