How it plays
Players guide a selected warrior through horizontally scrolling stages viewed from a side perspective. The objective is to defeat enemy formations, survive hazards, collect items, and clear each stage before confronting powerful bosses.
The standard combat loop combines attacks, jumps, directional movement, item use, and special techniques. Progression is stage-based rather than experience-driven; weapons, food, scrolls, and other pickups provide short-term advantages, while cooperative play lets multiple players control different warriors.
Plan your run
Use short attack strings and reposition before groups can surround you. Clear weaker enemies first, then save powerful items and special attacks for bosses or crowded sections.
Learn stage routes and item locations, and coordinate target selection in multiplayer. Avoid spending every consumable early; some later encounters are much safer when scrolls, bombs, or recovery items are still available.

Knights of Valour: Super Heroes is a side-scrolling arcade beat-'em-up developed and published by International Games System. It adapts heroes and conflicts from the Chinese Three Kingdoms era into fast, stage-based combat with exaggerated attacks, weapons, magic items, and large groups of enemies. Designed for arcade play, the game supports cooperative action and emphasizes learning enemy patterns, managing items, and choosing effective routes through its stages. It was received as a substantial follow-up within IGS's Knights of Valour line, especially in markets familiar with the company's competitive arcade brawlers, although its availability remained more regional than that of major Japanese arcade franchises.
