The game uses a fixed first-person perspective. Enemies appear in windows, streets, buildings, and other staged scenes, and the player must shoot hostile targets before they attack while avoiding civilians.

Stages are divided into short sequences with branching route choices in some situations. The player aims at targets, fires, reloads, and uses limited ammunition. Successful progress leads through a series of Western scenarios, while taking too many hits ends the game.

The Genesis version supports single-player play and can be played with a Sega Menacer or a standard controller, depending on the setup.

Prioritize enemies that are already aiming or preparing to fire. Do not shoot neutral characters, since accidental civilian hits can reduce the player's chances of completing a stage.

Keep the reticle moving between likely enemy positions and reload during safe moments. Memorizing enemy entrances and route patterns is more useful than firing rapidly at random targets.
