How it plays

How does Lotus Turbo Challenge play?

Races are presented from a behind-the-car perspective. The objective is to complete each course quickly while managing corners, roadside obstacles, and other traffic. Reaching checkpoints adds time, while collisions and poor lines reduce the margin available for the rest of the event.

Progression follows a sequence of courses with increasing difficulty. The emphasis is on learning track layouts, maintaining momentum, and choosing safe lines rather than tuning the car or managing a large simulation career. The Genesis version is designed primarily for solo arcade racing.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Lotus Turbo Challenge?

Learn the road layout before attempting record times. Brake early for difficult corners, then accelerate smoothly on the exit instead of entering every turn at maximum speed.

Use the full width of the road when it is safe, but avoid traffic and roadside hazards that can cost more time than a conservative line. Treat each checkpoint as a target and prioritize finishing consistently over risky overtakes.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Preserve speed through gentle bends, but brake before sharp turns.

  2. 2

Watch the road ahead for traffic and hazards rather than reacting at the last moment.

  3. 3

Memorize checkpoint locations to plan where you can safely take risks.
