How it plays
Players move through vertically oriented, side-scrolling tower stages, fighting monsters while searching for doors, treasure, and imprisoned allies. The hero can walk, crouch, jump, climb ladders, and attack with his sword.
The objective is to reach the top of the tower and defeat the final enemy. Rescued companions can join the player and provide different attack support, while items and power-ups improve combat effectiveness. The game includes single-player and two-player cooperative play.
Plan your run
Learn enemy attack patterns before advancing, especially in narrow corridors and around ladders. Use vertical space carefully: jumping and crouching can avoid attacks that are difficult to block.
Rescue companions whenever possible, but do not rush into a prison room without clearing nearby enemies. Save powerful magic items for dense groups or bosses, and search side areas for upgrades before climbing onward.

Magic Sword: Heroic Fantasy is a 1990 arcade action platformer developed and published by Capcom. The player controls a heavily armed hero who climbs a vast tower to defeat the evil sorcerer Drok 보? and recover a powerful magical sword. Its play style combines side-scrolling combat, platform navigation, treasure collection, and the rescue of allied fighters. The game supports one or two players and is known for its large number of stages, varied enemy formations, and straightforward controls. Contemporary and later arcade audiences generally praised its responsive action and fantasy presentation, although the campaign’s length and repetition can make it demanding.
