Jason Lee Scott
The Red Ranger and the team's leader.
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective and divides the adventure into linear stages inspired by events from the film. The objective is to move from left to right, defeat enemies, avoid hazards, and reach each stage's boss.
Players control a Ranger who can walk, jump, attack, and use special moves. Enemies arrive in groups, and bosses require pattern recognition and careful positioning. Progression comes from clearing stages rather than from an experience or equipment system.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of each Ranger's normal and special attacks before advancing into crowded areas. Staying near one side of the screen can make enemy groups easier to control, but avoid being cornered.
Against bosses, prioritize survival over rapid attacks. Watch for repeated patterns, jump over predictable strikes when possible, and attack during recovery windows. Conserve special attacks for large enemy groups or clear boss openings.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a side-scrolling action game developed by SIMS and published by Bandai for the Sega Genesis in 1995. Based on the feature film, it follows the Rangers as they confront Ivan Ooze and his forces after the loss of their powers. The game combines beat 'em up combat with platforming, letting players move through linear stages, defeat groups of enemies, and use special attacks. Its presentation draws on the movie's characters and settings while using original gameplay built for the Genesis. Reception was mixed: fans appreciated the recognizable Rangers and straightforward action, while critics often found the combat repetitive and the difficulty uneven.
