How it plays
How does Millipede play?
The player controls a small shooter along the bottom portion of a vertically oriented playfield. The weapon fires upward, while the millipede moves horizontally, changes direction around mushrooms, and descends toward the player. Shooting mushrooms can alter the routes through the field.
Spiders, fleas, scorpions, and other enemies add separate movement patterns and threats. The player progresses through repeated waves, earns points by destroying targets, and uses limited defensive options when available. The game ends after the player loses all lives.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Millipede?
Keep moving horizontally rather than remaining in one position, and clear mushrooms that create difficult routes. Prioritize enemies that are close to the bottom of the screen, especially spiders and descending millipede segments.
Watch the whole playfield instead of focusing only on the millipede. Use the available defensive weapon carefully, since it can remove several threats but is not an unlimited substitute for accurate shooting.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Clear mushrooms near the bottom to give yourself more room to maneuver.
- 2
Shoot dangerous enemies before concentrating on high-value targets.
- 3
Use diagonal movement patterns to avoid spiders and other fast threats.
