How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Players advance from left to right through linear stages, defeating soldiers, creatures, turrets, and other hazards while collecting weapon power-ups and keeping their characters alive.
A run consists of several combat stages separated by boss encounters. Players can move, aim their attacks in multiple directions, jump over obstacles, and use a limited bomb attack when surrounded. Cooperative play allows two players to fight through the stages together, while progression depends on surviving each level rather than building a persistent character.
Plan your run
Keep moving while firing, and use the full range of aiming directions to clear enemies before they surround you. Learn the timing of stage hazards and boss attacks rather than relying only on rapid fire.
Save bombs for dense enemy formations, difficult jumps, or moments when a boss attack leaves little room to maneuver. In two-player games, avoid standing on the same horizontal line when enemies enter from both sides.

Before you begin
Collect weapon upgrades when the route is safe, but do not take unnecessary risks for a power-up.
Use jumps to avoid projectiles and bombs to escape crowded situations.
In cooperative play, spread out so both players can cover different attack angles.
Mystic Warriors: Wrath of the Ninjas is a 1993 arcade run-and-gun action game developed and published by Konami. Players choose one of four ninjas and fight through enemy-filled stages using ranged weapons, close attacks, jumps, and limited screen-clearing bombs. The game supports cooperative play and follows the fast, pattern-driven design associated with Konami’s arcade action titles of the period. Its colorful martial-arts setting, large bosses, and responsive controls earned it a positive reputation among arcade players, although it remained less widely known than Contra or Sunset Riders. Mystic Warriors was released primarily in arcades and did not receive the same broad home-console exposure as several of Konami’s better-known games.
