Mike
A power hitter with strong driving distance, well suited for long holes and aggressive play.
How it plays
The game uses a top-down, angled perspective of each hole. The objective is to complete a course in as few strokes as possible while accounting for distance, terrain, hazards, and wind.
Players select a golfer, choose clubs, aim shots, and control the timing and strength of each swing. Courses are arranged as tournament holes with different layouts and hazards. Progress comes from completing successive holes, managing the score against par, and adapting shot selection to each course.
Plan your run
Study the wind before every shot; its effect becomes especially important on long approaches and drives.

Editorial context
A concise arcade golf game praised for its distinctive golfers, colorful courses, and satisfying risk-and-reward play.
Neo Turf Masters is an arcade golf game developed by Nazca Corporation and published by SNK. Known in Japan as Big Tournament Golf, it presents fast tournament golf through a deliberately accessible arcade format rather than a detailed simulation. Players choose from distinctive golfers, each with different strengths, and compete across international courses filled with hazards and changing wind conditions. Its short rounds, strong visual presentation, and easy-to-understand swing system made it popular in arcades and later on SNK home hardware. Reception has remained favorable because the game emphasizes readable decisions, brisk matches, and satisfying shot execution without overwhelming players with statistics or lengthy management systems.
