How it plays
How does NHL '94 play?
Games are viewed from a top-down perspective on a full ice rink. The objective is to outscore the opposing team while managing puck possession, passing lanes, shooting angles, and defensive coverage.
Players skate, pass, shoot, body-check, change lines, and control different skaters. League modes provide longer progression through schedules and playoffs, while exhibition play offers a single match. Momentum, goaltending, penalties, and line changes make positioning important throughout a game.

What is the best way to play NHL '94?
Use short passes to move the defense before attempting a shot. Entering the offensive zone with support creates more options than carrying the puck directly into traffic.
On defense, switch to the skater nearest the puck and protect the slot. Use checks selectively, because a missed hit can open a lane behind the defender. Save speed bursts for breakaways and recovery.
