Sailor Moon
The central Guardian, using balanced close-range attacks and moon-themed techniques.
How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side-scrolling perspective. Players move through linear stages, defeat groups of enemies, collect or use items when available, and face a boss at the end of each area.
The playable roster consists of Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus. Attacks can be combined with movement and jumping, while each Guardian has a distinctive special technique. In two-player play, both characters advance together; losing all health consumes a life, and continuing is governed by the arcade machine's settings.
Plan your run
Stay near the center of the screen so incoming enemies can be seen from both sides.

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon is a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by Gazelle and published by Banpresto for arcade systems in 1995. It adapts the Sailor Moon anime into a cooperative action game in which the Sailor Guardians battle supernatural enemies across urban streets and other locations. Players choose from the principal Sailor Guardians and fight using punches, kicks, jumping attacks, throws, and special techniques. The game follows the accessible structure of contemporary arcade brawlers, with short stages, recurring enemy groups, boss encounters, and limited continues. Its colorful presentation and recognizable characters made it a notable licensed arcade release, although its availability was more limited than that of major international beat 'em ups.
