How it plays

How does Primal Rage play?

Matches are viewed from the side and are fought between two selected creatures. The objective is to defeat the opponent through attacks, special moves, blocks, and throws before the time limit expires.

The arcade mode follows a sequence of battles against other creatures and culminates in a final challenge. Players can also fight another player in versus matches. Each character has different speed, reach, special attacks, and finishing moves, so progression depends on learning a creature's spacing and move timing.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Primal Rage?

Learn the normal attacks and special moves of one creature before attempting to master the full roster. Use reach and recovery time to control distance rather than attacking continuously.

Block during the opponent's approach, punish missed heavy attacks, and reserve finishing-move attempts for reliable situations. In arcade mode, observe each opponent's patterns and adjust your spacing to exploit their slower or shorter attacks.
