How it plays

How does Warzard play?

Warzard is a side-view, one-on-one 2D fighter. In the arcade campaign, the player selects Leo, Kenji, Tessa, or Mai-Ling and fights through a route of human and monster opponents before confronting powerful bosses.

The player moves, jumps, blocks, attacks, performs special techniques, and uses character-specific abilities. Victories award experience and may provide items or attribute improvements, while passwords can preserve campaign progress. Versus mode removes the campaign progression and focuses on direct matches between available fighters.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Warzard?

Learn the spacing and timing of the selected character before relying on special moves. Blocking, jumping over predictable attacks, and punishing recovery are especially important against the large bosses.

In the campaign, use earned experience and items to cover weaknesses rather than spending every resource immediately. Record passwords carefully, and practice recognizing boss patterns because several encounters are designed to overwhelm careless aggression.
