How it plays

How does Rolling Thunder play?

The game uses a side-view perspective and presents a sequence of horizontally scrolling stages. Albatross must move through enemy-controlled areas, defeat or evade guards, and reach the end of each section while conserving ammunition.

The player can run, jump, fire, enter doors, and use doors as temporary hiding places. Weapons and ammunition are found in doors or containers, while different enemy types pressure the player from both sides. Progression is based on clearing stages and advancing through increasingly difficult layouts.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Rolling Thunder?

Use doors deliberately: they can provide weapons, ammunition, or a brief hiding position, but entering blindly can expose Albatross to an enemy.

Conserve ammunition for armored or fast enemies, and learn when a jump is safer than a direct exchange of fire. Advance cautiously so enemies do not appear from both sides at once.
