How it plays

How does Splatterhouse 2 play?

The player views Rick from the side and advances through a sequence of linear stages filled with monsters, traps, and environmental hazards. The objective is to reach the end of each stage and defeat its boss.

Rick can walk, crouch, jump, punch, kick, and use weapons found during a stage. Progress depends on learning enemy timing, managing positioning, and preserving health until the boss encounter. There is a single-player campaign rather than a separate multiplayer mode.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Splatterhouse 2?

Study enemy patterns instead of rushing into groups. Crouching and jumping can help avoid attacks from enemies with different heights or ranges.

Save health for boss encounters whenever possible. Use stage weapons quickly when they provide a safer way to control crowds, and learn each boss's attack rhythm before committing to repeated strikes.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Treat unfamiliar enemies as pattern-learning encounters rather than trading hits.

  2. 2

Keep space around Rick so jumps and attacks are not blocked by multiple enemies.

  3. 3

Use weapons when available, but do not rely on them after they disappear.
