How it plays

How does Splatterhouse 3 play?

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective across several rooms and stages in Rick's house. Rick must move through each area, defeat monsters, and reach endangered family members before their individual timers expire.

Rick can walk, punch, kick, jump, grab enemies, and use context-sensitive attacks. Defeated enemies may drop temporary weapons or power-ups. The final outcome changes according to which family members are rescued and how quickly Rick completes the stages.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Splatterhouse 3?

Learn the layout of each stage and move directly toward the hostage rooms. Avoid unnecessary fights when the timer is low, but clear enemies that block narrow corridors or prevent access to key rooms.

Use jumping attacks and grabs to control groups, then prioritize the enemies with ranged attacks or fast movement. Rescue Jennifer and David as early as possible, and replay the game to see the different outcomes created by the time limit.
