How it plays

How does Sunset Riders play?

Sunset Riders is viewed from the side. The objective is to move through each stage, defeat waves of enemies, survive hazards, and collect the bounty at the end by defeating a boss.

Players can run, jump, fire in several directions, climb ladders, use temporary weapons, and ride horses during specific sequences. Stages are linear and advance through enemy encounters rather than exploration. Defeated bosses and completed stages provide progression toward the final confrontation.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Sunset Riders?

Keep moving while firing, since many enemies enter from both sides and stationary shooting leaves little time to react. Use elevated positions and ladders to clear groups before advancing.

Save rapid-fire or spread weapons for dense encounters and bosses. During horse sections, watch the ground as carefully as the enemies, and approach boss patterns patiently instead of attacking continuously at close range.
