How it plays

How does Super Hang-On play?

The player races from a behind-the-bike perspective through a series of timed stages. The objective is to pass checkpoints before the countdown reaches zero while avoiding other motorcycles and roadside obstacles.

Steering is handled with the cabinet handlebars, while acceleration and braking control speed. Courses become longer and more demanding across Beginner, Junior, Senior, and Expert difficulty routes. Reaching a checkpoint adds time, and the run ends when the timer expires or the final course is completed.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Super Hang-On?

Maintain a high speed on open straights, but brake before tight bends rather than relying on late steering corrections.

  • Use the full width of the road to set up turns.
  • Pass traffic decisively and avoid clipping motorcycles or roadside objects.
  • Learn checkpoint locations, since efficient early sections create more time for later stages.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Brake before sharp corners and accelerate as soon as the motorcycle is aligned with the exit.

  2. 2

Practice the easier routes to learn traffic patterns and checkpoint timing.
