How it plays
The player views each single-screen stage from the side and controls a character at ground level. The objective is to destroy every bubble without being hit; a large bubble splits into smaller bubbles when struck, and the smallest bubbles disappear after another hit.
Tour mode advances through a fixed collection of stages with different layouts and hazards. Panic mode focuses on enduring continuous or escalating bubble attacks. The player moves horizontally, fires a harpoon upward, and uses platforms and safe gaps to control where bubbles travel. Clearing stages advances progression, while mistakes consume lives.
Plan your run
Stay near open floor whenever possible and watch the smallest bubble before committing to a position. Fire from directly below a bubble when the path is clear, then immediately move away from the falling fragments.
Use walls and platforms to predict rebounds, and clear dangerous small bubbles first when several sizes overlap. In Panic mode, prioritize survival and safe movement over rapid scoring.
Meet the cast

Before you begin
Avoid standing beneath a large bubble after firing; its fragments may descend along the same line.
Use the edges of platforms to create safer firing positions.
Clear small bubbles before attempting elaborate setups.
Super Pang is an arcade action-puzzle game developed by Mitchell Corporation and published by Capcom. It follows the bubble-popping formula of Pang, placing the player beneath bouncing bubbles that must be divided and cleared with a harpoon. The game is designed for short, responsive arcade sessions, with simple controls but increasingly demanding timing and positioning. Its main Tour mode presents a sequence of stages set across recognizable locations, while Panic mode emphasizes survival against escalating bubble patterns. Super Pang was well received for refining the original concept with more varied situations, additional challenge, and a polished presentation, and it became one of the best-known entries in the Pang series.
