How it plays
How does Tao Taido (set 1) play?
Choose a martial artist, fight one-on-one matches, and use the six-button layout for normal attacks, blocks, jumps, and special moves. The program includes head-to-head versus play and a free-for-all variation with a computer-controlled third fighter, with multiple life bars in each fight.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Tao Taido (set 1)?
Control distance before charging a special move, learn the selected character's command timing, and watch all life bars rather than treating one exchange as the whole round. Keep the set 1 or set 2 label when comparing input behavior and revision-specific graphics.
