How it plays

How does Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles play?

Players move through side-scrolling stages, defeating Foot Clan soldiers, mutants, robots, and bosses while advancing toward the next objective. The joystick controls movement, while separate buttons handle jumping and attacks.

Each turtle has distinct weapon range and speed. Players can combine jumping and attacking for aerial strikes, use environmental objects in some areas, and continue after losing all health by inserting another credit. Stages include boss encounters and occasional sections that change the pace, including vehicle-based movement.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

Stay mobile and avoid being surrounded, especially when Foot Clan enemies enter from both sides. Use the turtle with the reach and speed that best suits the stage, and prioritize enemies carrying projectiles or explosives.

Save jumping attacks for crowds and exposed bosses. In multiplayer, spread out enough to cover both sides of the screen without separating so far that one player is overwhelmed.
