How it plays

How does Truxton play?

The screen scrolls vertically while the fighter moves freely within the playfield. The objective is to destroy enemies, collect power-ups, survive hazards, and defeat a large boss at the end of each stage.

Power-ups improve the main weapon or provide support options, while bombs clear threats and damage enemies. The campaign has five stages, and losing a life reduces the fighter's equipment, making recovery an important part of progression.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Truxton?

Learn enemy entrances and boss patterns rather than relying only on reaction speed. Stay near the lower part of the screen when the stage layout is unfamiliar, but keep enough room to move around aimed fire.

Collect weapon power-ups carefully and use bombs before an unavoidable collision or during especially dense boss patterns. After losing a life, prioritize survival and rebuilding the weapon before attempting risky attacks.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Keep moving in small, controlled adjustments to avoid aimed shots.

  2. 2

Save bombs for crowded formations and difficult boss attacks.

  3. 3

Weapon loss after death makes safe recovery more valuable than aggressive scoring.
