How it plays

How does Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety play?

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Players move through linear stages, defeat gangs and symbiote enemies, avoid hazards, and reach a boss encounter at the end of each area.

Spider-Man and Venom can fight at close range, use web- or symbiote-based attacks, jump, and interact with the scrolling environment. A second player can join as the other hero in cooperative mode. Progression is stage-based rather than experience-based, so success depends on conserving health, learning enemy patterns, and defeating bosses.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety?

Stay near the center of the screen so incoming enemies remain visible, and avoid rushing into groups from the edge.

Use jumping attacks and web-based moves to control crowds, then focus on one enemy at a time. In two-player mode, split positions carefully so neither character is surrounded.

Against bosses, prioritize evasion and punish recovery animations rather than attacking continuously.
