How it plays
The game is viewed from a side-scrolling perspective. Players move through frontier-themed stages, defeat groups of enemies, collect items, and face a boss at the end of each stage.
Each character has distinct strengths, including different weapons and attack patterns. Players can walk, jump, perform close-range attacks, use weapons, and trigger a special move by combining the attack and jump buttons. Progression is stage-based, with limited lives and continues typical of arcade games.
Plan your run
Stay near the center of the screen so enemies cannot surround you from both sides. Clear weaker enemies first, then focus on stronger targets while watching for attacks entering from off-screen.
Use jumping attacks and each character’s weapon to control distance. Save special attacks for crowded encounters or bosses, and cooperate with the other player by attacking different sides of a group.

Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa is a 1992 Konami arcade beat 'em up based on the animated television series of the same name. Players take control of heroic anthropomorphic cattle defending Moo Mesa from outlaws and other threats in a stylized frontier setting. The game uses side-scrolling action, simple attack combinations, jumping, ranged weapons, and character-specific abilities. Up to two players can fight through a sequence of stages together. It received attention for its colorful presentation, cartoon-inspired characters, and accessible cooperative play, while its straightforward combat follows the familiar structure of Konami’s other licensed arcade brawlers.
