How it plays
Matches are viewed from the side, with two fighters facing each other in a best-of-three-round battle. The main objective is to reduce the opponent’s life gauge before the time limit expires. Players move, jump, crouch, block, attack with punches or kicks, throw opponents, and perform special or desperation techniques.
Arcade play centers on a single-player ladder and versus matches. Each character has different reach, speed, and special-move properties, and successful attacks build momentum rather than a conventional super meter. Victories advance the player through the opposing roster, while the final encounters provide the main single-player challenge.
Plan your run
Learn the normal attacks that control space, then use short jumps and dashes to approach safely. Blocking and throw punishment are important because repeated attacks can be challenged at close range.
Practice each character’s command moves and special techniques against the computer before attempting the later ladder fights. Preserve life in early rounds, watch the timer when ahead, and avoid relying on one predictable attack pattern.

World Heroes Perfect is a 1995 arcade fighting game developed by ADK and published by SNK. It is the fourth main entry in the World Heroes series, bringing historical warriors, martial-arts archetypes, and original characters into one-on-one combat. The game uses a traditional side-view format with four attack buttons, special moves, throws, dashes, and character-specific techniques. Its roster and fast-paced matches give it a distinct place among Neo Geo-era fighters, while the arcade version emphasizes short bouts and repeated play. Reception generally recognized its larger roster, refined mechanics, and energetic presentation, although it remained less prominent than SNK’s flagship fighting franchises.
