How it plays
Matches take place in a single wrestling ring viewed from the side. The objective is to defeat the opposing wrestler by pinfall or other match-ending conditions, while managing attacks, grapples, and positioning near the ropes.
Players can compete in individual bouts and tag-team matches, choosing from WWF wrestlers with different appearances and attributes. Progression is based on winning successive matches rather than developing a persistent character.
Plan your run
Use short attacks to create openings before attempting a grapple. Positioning matters: fighting near the ropes can make escapes and reversals easier, while keeping an opponent near the center gives more room to continue an attack.
Against larger wrestlers, avoid repeated direct exchanges. Mix strikes with movement, watch for recovery opportunities, and attempt a pin only after the opponent has taken substantial damage.

WWF Super WrestleMania is a professional wrestling game developed by Sculptured Software and published by LJN for the Sega Genesis in 1992. It presents licensed World Wrestling Federation wrestlers in straightforward one-on-one and tag-team matches, using a side-view perspective and a compact arcade-style ruleset. Players move around the ring, strike opponents, grapple, perform throws, and attempt pins. The Genesis version is known for its simple controls, recognizable roster, and energetic presentation rather than deep simulation. Contemporary and later reception has generally regarded it as an accessible wrestling title, though its limited move variety and relatively basic match structure can feel restrictive compared with later WWF games.
