How it plays
Mega Man moves through side-scrolling stages filled with platforms, ladders, hazards, enemies, and secret routes. He can run, jump, slide, fire the Mega Buster, and charge shots after gaining the relevant ability. Each Robot Master stage ends with a boss whose weapon can provide an advantage against another boss.
The game begins with four available Robot Master stages, then expands the route after story events. Defeated bosses grant weapons, while Rush abilities and collectible upgrades improve mobility, ammunition, or survivability. Passwords record progress between sessions, and several optional rooms and encounters reward exploration.
Plan your run
Learn each Robot Master's weakness order rather than relying only on the Mega Buster. The opening stages can be cleared in several ways, but choosing a weapon that exploits a boss weakness usually makes later fights safer.
Search for hidden rooms and item containers. Extra tanks and upgrade parts can greatly improve difficult sections, while Rush abilities are useful for reaching platforms, crossing hazards, or conserving energy. Practice slide timing and charged-shot spacing before the final sequence.

Mega Man 7 is a 1995 action-platform game developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It follows Mega Man as he responds to Dr. Wily's escape and confronts a new group of Robot Masters, while the mysterious Bass and Treble enter the conflict. The game combines precise side-scrolling platforming with run-and-gun combat, selectable stages, weapon-based weaknesses, and exploration for upgrades. Its colorful 16-bit presentation marked a visual shift from the earlier NES entries. Contemporary reception was generally positive, although some critics found its pacing and controls less exact than the strongest classic installments. It remains a substantial and visually distinctive chapter in the original Mega Man series.
